Our Together we Make Maryhill partnership has generated over 40 new volunteers assisting is several different projects. Since it’s volunteer week, we thought we’d thank them and take them all out for a curry at Polo Club!

We cannot underestimate the influence of Columba – coming to Iona in exile from Donegal – in spearheading the establishment of the Christian faith in the North and West. Ever popular and revered, let's remember him today with gratitude.

Come along from 5pm to help prepare and set up for the Fete

This is our biggest outreach to the whole community today – the doors and the gardens are thrown wide open to everyone for our BBQ, fete, fun and sale! Come and get a bargain or a treat and enjoy a delicious burger! Its gonna be a great day!

Today we mark the last of the ‘Easter Festivals’ by commemorating our greatest gift – Jesus’ own self abiding with us in the Eucharist. It is when we gather to do what he did that our parish becomes visible. Nothing is more important.

One of people’s favourites – ‘The Saint’! A Portuguese Franciscan who ended up in Padua, he was renowned for his preaching and his kindness to the poor. There is an image of him in our church and box where people continue that tradition of helping those in need.

An emotional event for the young people ending their school career and moving on to the next chapter! Big proud night for their families too!

Jesus calls his first followers. The gospel goes to the length of giving each name because each one represents a particular story and a particular response. If that gospel were to be written today – YOUR name would be in that list!
