Delighted to welcome back the Glasgow circle of The Newman Association. A group of committed laypeople engaged in academic and intellectual formation in all areas of faith and life, its lovely to see the circle restart after these difficult years. Our shared Foodbank at St Gregory’s. This year we are inviting you to bring to church one seasonal treat for adults or children – mince pies, a selection box, biscuits, whatever. We will have a second collection so the foodbank shoppers can get the staple goods they need to see people through.

In fact, do even better – take a pile and deliver them to all your neighbours. Spread the Good News that Jesus is alive here in Maryhill and all are welcome to come celebrate his birthday!

You are invited to donate a Christmas treat – chocolates, cake, biscuits to cheer up the Christmas bags for the Food bank. Donations in the collection will go directly to buy foodstuffs for our sisters and brothers at the Food bank.

John The Baptist calls us to repent – to prepare for one coming who will baptise with fire. But John teaches another lesson – he gives more reverence to the other! In our self-centred world what a challenge! To be more aware of and put others first!
