The one who is to come brings a radical message that turns everything upside down. There is healing and forgiveness and a whole new way of being. What do you expect to see? What is your faith for? It is revolutionary because people are first - before power, wealth and influence!

This weekend we have our annual collection for the St Nicholas Fund – the pastoral care trust of the archdiocese. This allows us to make grants to small projects and groups all over the city. Even in these hard times give what you can! Did you get your box and pack?

This weekend – Sunday is called “Gaudete Sunday” – rejoicing Sunday. The church changes into the delightful colour of rose pink! We have past the half-way mark of Advent and Christmas is very close! We rejoice His birthday is near!

After the Masses on Sunday morning. Craft goods, home baking, lovely tea and coffees and the raffle will be pulled at 12.30pm. See you there for bargains and a chat!

Oh yes, we are – 60 of us with our friends at Maryhill Ruchill Parish Church (Sorry tickets already all gone!)

Congratulations to Lucy & Simon tying the knot at Glasgow University Chapel. Also to William and Rose from El Salvador here in the parish at the Vigil Mass

God is with us. The simple powerful message this week. Through Mary – the patron of our parish, God is no longer an aloof wordless mystery. God is Jesus born among us. You and your flesh and life are sacred because he became one with us – Emmanuel.

As we get closer to Christmas, we all need a little time to create a safe spiritual place to reflect on what it is all really about. You are invited to our penitential service and moment of prayer at 7pm in the church. Bring your friends.

6pm Vigil Mass especially for small children (This Mass is VERY busy. Please do not come unless you have small children – go to one of the adult celebrations) 9pm The Solemn “Midnight” Mass of Christmas

We have an early simple celebration at 9am the “Dawn” Mass Or why not join us for the 11am ‘family’ Mass – come as your wee gang who are meeting up for Christmas dinner? Please note; no evening mass.
